Jeanie is a 38ft by 10ft Dutch Barge, believed to have been built in the 1960s and imported from Holland. Built with a solid 6mm steel hull and classic lines, she’s packed with charm and character. The current owners have completed a full internal refit, breathing new life into the space and creating a homely, functional interior ideal for relaxed cruising or liveaboard life.
Inside, she’s finished to a high standard with solid oak flooring and tongue-and-groove panelled cabin sides. The layout is simple and well thought out, featuring a fixed double bed in the bow, a compact galley with fridge/freezer and microwave, and a bathroom with a cassette toilet and shower. Sliding side doors allow for easy access and plenty of natural light, giving the space a bright, airy feel.
Jeanie is powered by a four-cylinder Mercedes diesel engine with keel cooling and a clutch-operated gearbox. She runs on both 12v and 240v systems, with one starter and one leisure battery. A solid fuel stove keeps the cabin cosy, while a new Ferroli gas boiler provides hot water. The approximate 80-gallon stainless steel water tank supports everyday needs onboard.
She was last blacked in August 2023 and holds a valid Boat Safety Certificate until March 2026. While her builder remains unknown she presents in solid condition and is ready for use. Jeanie offers a great opportunity for anyone looking for a characterful, well-sized barge with a refreshed interior and plenty of potential.

A boat is not valued on its age. The age of a boat is irrelevant. A boat is valued based on who built the hull? Who fitted the boat out and what type of materials were used (Hard wood or MDF etc) What equipment does the boat have (Bow thruster, generator, inverters etc) These are just a few of the many factors that equate to the correct value of a boat.

BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
