Step aboard Demesne, a beautifully crafted 57ft traditional narrowboat by Colecraft, built in 1999, and overflowing with charm. She offers a delightful cottage-atmosphere nestled on water — warm, inviting and full of thoughtful touches. From the moment you enter, you sense that this isn’t just any boat; it’s a home with character, lovingly maintained and impressively equipped.
Powered by a Beta 43hp engine with a PRM 150 gearbox, Demesne offers reliable engineering. Her interior features finely balanced design elements: oak cabin sides, comfortable flooring of laminate, tile and carpet, and top-opening windows and portholes that let in light and air. Kingspan insulation throughout ensures comfort whatever the season.
Living onboard is made easy by a generous specification of systems.
Hot water is available through a cal¬orifier/immersion heater and Webasto, while central heating (also Webasto) and a solid fuel stove add cozy warmth on cooler evenings. Her electrical setup is strong: 12v and 240v power, a Victron 3 kW inverter/charger, a built-in 5 kW diesel generator, solar panels with MPPT controller, plus 1 starter, 3 leisure batteries with a Victron battery monitor and galvanic isolator.
With roughly 180 gallons of stainless steel water storage, Demesne has good endurance for cruising or stays. The galley is well-appointed with laminate worktops, a Vanette cooker, Amico fridge/freezer, and a Candy washing machine. Accommodations include a fixed double berth with potential for additional berths within the saloon, while the bathroom includes a bath/shower combination, vanity basin, and cassette toilet facilities.
Blacked in 2019 and with valid Boat Safety until May 2027 and RCD certificates, Demesne has been well cared for. The layout, insulation and build quality combine to create a vessel that feels like a floating country retreat

A boat is not valued on its age. The age of a boat is irrelevant. A boat is valued based on who built the hull? Who fitted the boat out and what type of materials were used (Hard wood or MDF etc) What equipment does the boat have (Bow thruster, generator, inverters etc) These are just a few of the many factors that equate to the correct value of a boat.
Powered by a Beta 43hp engine with a PRM 150 gearbox, Demesne offers reliable engineering.
BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
